hair tutorials for thicker hair!
Braids can help complete your look for any style. If you have medium thick hair then this style is perfect for you because your hair is the most easy to manage and has plenty of movement. It responds well and can hold a braid together. Follow this tutorial below to learn how to make this style!

FINISHED LOOK TOP BRAID PONYTAIL
Hair Prep: Start with second day curls, created from a 2 inch curling wand.
Section off about 3 inches of hair at the top of your head, making sure to comb it over so there are no funny bumps when braiding.
Braid this section in to a dutch french braid, please let me know in the comments if your interested in a “Step by Step Braiding Tutorial.”
About half way down, continue doing a normal three strand braid. Basically you want to stop adding hair to the braid for the ponytail.
Secure the end of the braid with a small elastic, then add a light coat of hairspray to add some texture.
Then start pulling the braid apart to your desired look, by using your fingers in a pinching motion.
This step is optional, but I love how it helps achieve a fuller look!
Next, comb all the hair back in to a low ponytail, to help make it look even more smooth add some hairspray to your brush.
Then tightly secure the ponytail with a thicker elastic.
To help hide the elastic take about a one inch section of hair and wrap it around the ponytail elastic, then secure that hair with a bobby pin.
Fix the ponytail around, I adjusted the braid a little bit so it feels fuller.
